Borica is a global specialty chemical company with origin from ICI. Not only just manufacturing, Borica is also involved in technology, marketing and distribution. Established in 1998 as a distributor of specialty and commodity products for European and North American principals, Borica management team transferred from ICI Taiwan Trading Division and inherited the core business. Agency business has grown ever since, and Borica has further expanded to other application area. The company name comes from boric acid, as the first agency business with US Borax in 1998.

In line with the entrepreneurial spirit of its management and ware of the enormous potential of crossroad position, Borica, in 2000, soon engaged in the manufacture of fatty ester and specialty methacrylate monomer in Taiwan with distribution to Asian market. In 2004, specialty TYTAN titanate production kicked off in Taiwan. European office (Belgium, 2006) and American office (Vancouver, 2007) were set up to support the promotion and expansion into global market. In 2008, a state-of-the-art TYTAN plant was set up in Shandong, China to meet the fast growing market demand around the world. In 2012, TYTAN titanate/zirconate doubled its capability to 10,000 tpa, the largest single titante/zirconate plant in the world as of today.
